Our teacher hasn’t taught us it yet but he’s given this to us for a question so I have no idea what to do.

Have you got the textbook? There will be a good description and examples in there.

There are a reasonable number of youtube explanations, not looked them over myself, but something like:

Tbh, if your teacher hasnt covered it, you should contact them asap. The mathsisfun, drfrost slides, youtube, textbook, ... are a fallback but each fairly comprehensive. Most of the examples could be "lifted" and applied to this question.

Probably not. You might have just temporarily forgotten that maths sometimes requires a bit of effort. Read the notes and work through the examples in your textbook. If you still have questions then post again.
