Can I get paid SFE loan earlier?

I've booked student accommodation for next year and the first rent due date is a month earlier than my first maintenance loan payment. Would it be possible for SFE to move my first loan instalment back a bit?
SFE won’t pay your loan until you start your course.

If your rent payments are earlier then speak to your landlord about a different payment plan that might reduce the first payment amount or move the payment dates. And look into saving up or borrowing (an interest free overdraft would be the least expensive option) short term to cover the costs.
