What kind of stuff are you gonna be focusing on?

Hi everyone, I have just submitted my application for Master of Studies in History with St. Antony's College and Balloil College as my college choices. Where have you decided for accomodation?

The new MSt looks SO much better than how it was structured last year *mutters*.

Best of luck with your application.

I'm almost ready to apply, just need to chase my last reference and write a personal statement.

Was that incredulity at me being "almost ready to apply"? Trust me, I go to Cambridge, doing substantial amounts of work just before the deadline is not exactly alien to me. There are still four days, all I need to do is chase a referee and write a statement.

Who here's working towards the January deadline? I plan to submit around the 1st week of Jan.

Reply 72

Have submitted as of today. Now the nervous wait.

minimo, what you applying for?

Reply 73

Submitted yesterday, phew. My third referee eventually came through after having ignored me for a week!

Good luck everyone!

Does anyone have good ideas for funding a DPhil? The Oxford opportunities are fairly limited as it seems.

depends on what subject - have you looked at the various research councils?

Do you think that one has a better chance of success if one has submitted in the first bout?

No. But I suppose it might make it a bit more likely you get into your colleges of choice.

Has anyone heard from Oxford yet?

Reply 79

Not me - and I don't expect to hear before Feb or March...
