The ones saying that they might call are you all applying to the English Dep or is everyone just freaking out and calling their departments. LAst Friday mine said I'd get an answer in a few days, starting to be a long few days now...

yolswell - what's your period of History and did you contact any potential supervisors beforehand?

Colonial medicine. I emailed my potential supervisor with a brief description of my proposal, to which she said she would be suited to supervise it. I also engineered a meeting with her at a seminar series, which could have been really good, or really bad....

You?

that's the department i'm waiting on. my application is being re-evaluated, although friday is the deadline for a decision.

I am a "re-evaluated" applicant at dev. studies as well....waiting to hear!

I applied in December and got a letter that my application would be re-evaluated; the letter was dated 27-2. Now I wonder if I'll hear sth soon, or if I'll only hear in May or so.

Emily Yates or Shaun Darby should be able to tell you. They're the administrative people for graduate admissions.

Hey Hal...you've got the right address. I emailed them Wed evening & Shaun Darby replied this morning.

Hi Folks,

I have received an offer from CS department for MSc program. Anyone else on the same boat? Any one has some first hand information about this course? I know it is ranked quiet high, but still looking for some more information. I also have an offer from an University in US, so now thinking which one to go for.

Ahh cool! Are you aiming it at Wellcome trust then?

Mine's 19th cen gender & religion. Found a supervisor and had numerous email conversations with them; agreed to supervise in the first email! Haven't met them (will do if and when I get an offer) but they know one of my referees which is never a bad thing
for CS thats tough, CMU is highly respectable i've read alot of papers by them. It depends where you wanna work, the computing industry in the US value CMU grads quite highly. If you plan to work in the UK then i would suggest ox. Someone told me you could apply to CS postgrad in june.
