Is there an option skip a year in medical school at university (UK)?

Just wondering if it's hypothetically possible for a student to skip a year in university studying medicine. Any help would be appreciated

The closest thing I can think of is direct entry to 2nd year MB BS at SGUL following completion of BSc in biomedical sciences.

There isn't an option to skip a year just because. Why would there be?

I was just curious and couldn't find the answer on the internet. Thanks for your help
Medicine degrees can be of varying length - 6 year courses that include an intercalated BSc degree or foundation year, 5 years standard undergrad entry, 4 years graduate entry.

Obviously that is all very planned in advance though. Med school is all very rigid and regulated. You can't just skip physiology or surgery or something lol.
