why is oedema an indication a patient may be at risk from atherosclerosis

Do a bit of web browsing. Intuitively oedema is a sign that the circulatory system is not functioning as it should, for what ever reason(s)..

Try oedema and arteriosclerosis in one search, there are relevant hits. The effectiveness of the circulatory transport system is dependent on the elasticity of the blood vessel walls
