University or Foundation Degree Criminal Justice

I have received conditional offers from both of my applications. One is to study criminology for 3 years at university the other is to study a 2 year level 5 Foundation Degree in Criminal Justice. At the end of my college year I'm predicted to achieve D*D*D this gives me enough UCAS points to go onto the foundation degree as well as the CRIMINOLOGY
BSc (Hons). After the foundation course there is the chance to to study other 'top-up' degrees at University subject to approval. My end aim is to become a police officer, what would you recommended I do? Is the foundation degree worth taking over going to university?
Thank you!
