Need a Library Card for uni? UCL

I'll start medicine at UCL this year and I was wondering if you need a library card. Not for the university library (since I'm guessing the university will sort that out. But for libraries around London like in case you want to go somewhere else to study? Is that common for people to do or does everyone just stay at the ucl library?
Anecdotally, I've head that people usually stay at UCL but I believe there is the option to go to other libraries that are a part of the University of London (not too sure though). You could try asking on the medicine offer holder / 2021 entry threads:
