When you love someone, sometimes you'll mould yourself to become what they need. There is a fine line between this and then letting that person make you unhappy. I think it takes a lot of practice to mould yourself for the people you love and stop when you realise you're unhappy .

Ultimately, you're responsible for your own happiness. Even the people you most trust can turn out to have betrayed you utterly

Define personal development. I think/hope I've become a kinder and more understanding person but I'm also less trusting and more wary.

Personal development : a quality or a lesson, you become wiser maybe ? I speak from my own experience, I've had friendships that have left me with bad memories but ultimately I've come to learn I am the root for my happiness and I've met new people who Ive kept in my life because I now know the difference between genuine people and "not genuine" people.

I learnt that men from my specific ethnicity are trash and will never compromise because they’ve been raised too pampered

I have lost belief in love.

My Insta bio literally says 'I do not believe in love. [with a cancer zodiac sign :]'

So you hope. I 've been in a very long term relationship, thought I knew the person well and yet it turns out I've been almost completely mistaken. I' m still recovering but it's quite hard to see much of it as personal growth

What did you learn from previous relationships?
Lots and lots of things. It'd take a book or a series of books to cover it all properly.

The main one is:
I've gotten someone to love me before, I can get another person to love me in the future.

Other things include:
How to make love to a competent standard
How to behave to increase the chances of a relationship continuing
How to behave to bring about the end of a relationship
That relationships are semi-consumable items
The different phases in a relationship. Getting to know each other, the honeymoon period, post-honeymoon
That women and men have more in common than they have differences
What makes women tick
What sort of person I'd be happy to have a relationship with
That learning and growing and improving as a person should be a continuous and perpetual thing and that I may well learn plenty about relationships in the future...

everyone should have a '**** off fund' (personal savings account) so when it hits the fan and you find out you're sleeping with your worst enemy, you can leave and not be homeless.
