Student finance/Student bank account
Hi,
I've applied to student finance with my personal bank account instead of opening a student bank account and using that? I'm applying to my student bank now ( I know i'm leaving it late but only got my offer on monday) and wasn't sure if i should have used the student bank account for the maintenance loan?
Are there any disadvantages to this or should (can) I change this?

You can't normally apply for a student account until after you've got a confirmed place, so normally 4-6 weeks before your course starts.
You just need to provide Student Finance with an account they can make payments into -- it doesn't need to be a "student account". You can change the account details with Student Finance (if you need to) up to a week before payments are due.
