Pleaseee help. The textbook doesn't make sense to me and I need to know this for Central Concepts. :frown: :smile:


Do one experiment with soda lime or any other carbon dioxide absorbing substance and measure the distance the liquid moves. Then do another without the carbon dioxide absorbing substance.

The distance moved by the first liquid (with soda lime) is the amount of oxygen consumed. The difference between the two is the amount of carbon dioxide produced.

Hence you can calculate the RQ value :smile:
