Independent student living at "home"

I am hoping to start an undergraduate degree in September, I am deciding between staying at home vs moving out.

On student finance, I am considered an independent student as I am over 25 and I have worked and supported myself for the last few years. I live with my parents but pay rent but I am not on the tenancy agreement. I can prove that I have paid rent to the landlady for the last 4 years.

My problem is that if I am considered "living at home", I will not afford rent and other living costs, I will have £100 left which will not even cover travel to uni. If I move away from home, my parents will also have to downsize and move.

Can I be considered for "living away from home" by student finance if I prove that I pay rent in private rented accommodation, which just so happens to be where my family also live?
