Camera in school classrooms

Hi guys,

I have a question. My school recently put up cameras in every classroom for online learning purposes, so those who are sick can see the class. (This isn’t a CCTV camera by the way). However, during an exam we found out that the teacher was recording us to see if anyone was cheating. Turns out nobody did cheat, but was just wondering if she was allowed to do that? We knew there was a camera in the room, but the purpose isn’t to spy on students. It feels like an invasion of privacy considering nobody in the class comes to school to be recorded, even if it’s for a good reason like finding people that cheat.
What’s your thoughts?
I don't know, but where i'm from that's not allowed.

It's often standard practice if a candidate needs a room on their own for an exam to protect both people in the room from accusations of assault etc.
