Further maths A-levels, Is Edexcel D1 worth doing?

Is D1 worth doing? I take Computer science as an A-level, but I don't know whether D1 is hard or easy

Whereabouts in the world are you?

The old UK modular D1 used to be easy, particularly if you did Comp Sci, but the grade boundaries tended to be high - a couple of silly mistakes could make a big difference.

The old D1 was an AS unit that could go in Maths (as the applied units could move between Maths, FM and AFM) and it may be they've made it harder now you can only pick up Decision Maths in FM - I've not looked, but I suspect accuracy is the key. If you can be suitably precise and accurate then it will be an easy unit.
