Hi, so I'm pretty sure I've damaged my metabolism from being on a low calorie diet for the past 6 months but I now realise how stupid it was and want to increase my calories. However, I don't know whether this will make me gain weight to the point I was at the start of the diet because of starvation mode. I've taken up cycling for 30-70 minutes a day (started yesterday and did 1 hour and 10 minutes worth) to hopeful increase my metabolism back to a somewhat normal state...will this work or will I have to forever be on a low calorie diet?

My maintenance calories is 1400 calories a day. So I really need to up it before any more damage can be done 😅
