Career Prospects with an Econ degree from UCL
Hi,
I have an offer for an economics degree at UCL which I'm very likely to meet. I've been reconsidering my career prospects and am more interested in technical roles whether than be in/out of the financial industry. given the mathematical nature of an econ degree from UCL
Can someone let me know if working the following would be possible if I self teach myself coding, comp sci principles etc.
1. Quants/trading
2. Software engineering
3. Data Science
4. AI/ML

in decreasing estimated order of likelihood:
swe > ds > quant trading > ai/ml
might be wrong on ds/quant trading, don't really know much about quant trading
but ai/ml is often postgrad only, swe is broad church but you can't apply for every job (some want stem degrees) and ds is in the middle
