Do you know how long it takes to receive a decision on a PhD application (social sciences)? I can't find a rough decision timeframe on OSIS or under the research degree applicant information. Thank you! :smile:

Hello. I applied to Kingston University back in January for Interior Design and was then asked to submit a digital portfolio, which I uploaded back in February. However, I still haven't received an invitation to an interview or a acceptance/rejection. What does this mean? Is it normal for it to take this long? How long should I wait to hear back from them?

Hey, this question is for the student reps. I've just received a formal notice by Kingston through UCAS that they've withdrawn their offer with the reason quoted as "You did not submit a revised portfolio as requested". This cannot be true because firstly, I did submit a revised portfolio and sent it to the email id I was provided and more importantly, I received an email about the confirmation of my spot on the course way back in February. All of this is for the BA Graphic Design course. This is a big concern and disappointment because I had my hopes up due to that email and its all just become a huge mess for me now. I've contacted the university and I wanted to ask how long it would take for them to get back to me and whether or not I would eventually end up getting the spot.

Oh no I am sorry to hear this! Potentially it is just a fault from UCAS, if you have received confirmation directly from Kingston. If you have already been offered a place then hopefully this should still be the case. It can be busy around this time and so may take a little while for them to get back in contact. If you want to get into contact quicker I would recommend giving them a call.
