I have an offer to study undergraduate medicine deferred until 2022. I have an opportunity to study a masters next year for which I am eligible for funding from SFA. I also have an undergraduate student loan.

I am aware that I would eligible for a maintenance loan for medicine but I am just concerned that if I take out a master’s loan this may affect my eligibility for the medicine maintenance loan. Am I worrying over nothing?

Thanks, Isaac

Undergraduate 5 year course.
You will be eligible to apply for a Maintenance Loan only, as long as you meet the residency criteria https://www.gov.uk/student-finance/who-qualifies
Thanks, Isaac

But using my masters funding wouldn’t make me ineligible for the maintenance loan?
