P.S. your Latex is incredibly inefficient. >_>
5. Rewrite LHS as
(sec^2 x)^2 - (tan^2 x)^2
6. have you tried to substitute the sec into tangent?
7. Hint:

Y^4 - M^4 = (Y^2 - M^2)(Y^2 + M^2)
