Offer of BBB!!! I really can't decide between King's, York or Edinburgh. Like them all for different reasons!

if it were me choosing, i'd go with kings. and that's not actual bias, i genuinely believe it's the best out of those!

Does the English department hate Media studies?

Not really, no. I know students on our course who did Media Studies and it's not 'blacklisted' or anything like that by the Admissions Tutors. The most important thing, I would think, is that you do have English Lit/Lang A Level.

You can also choose to a Film Studies module as your optional during the first year of your study here.

Ooooh your so lucky :frown:

Can I ask what your AS grades were and what you are predicted for A2?

Congrats!

(sorry for double posts)

Calling all BusMan applicants with offers, would you do me the favour of telling me your AS grades/A2 predictions? Would be awesome... in a post or PM:smile:

But of course you don't have to ! Thanks

Got AABB last year and I'm predicted AAB. I applied before the oxbridge deadline though, which was ages ago so I think they're looking at older applications first maybe?

Oh ok, awesome thanks for letting me know... really tetchy about King's as its my "dream" university, but I'm applying with AAA/d rather than AAB/b which they ask for. Same UCAS points, but I know they're very strict about their entry requirements, so it was a long shot! Just hoping I don't get a rejection before Christmas :p:

Thanks agaaaaaaaaaiiiiiinnnn!
Has anyone received a welcome pack yet? Or is there anyone who can tell me the dates of the Philosophy open days?

Ooh, I have a couple! You might regret offering yourself up to be plagued by us! :p:

1. Do you know when the Visit Days are? Hopefully I won't need to book any more than a day off work for them, but if I do I need a month's notice minimum, which is a bit crappy.
2. How, timewise, do they fit in the 8 modules per year? Is it four modules for the first two terms, with four sets of seminar/lectures per week? Or do they put some of them in the third term/spend half a term on two modules, and the other half on another two?
3. Do they offer Erasmus?

Thanks!
