Are Kings usually realllly slow at getting back to people?
I sent my application on 14th of October and have not yet heard anything...I guess they are quite slow, but then again lots of prestigious universities take their time to get back to people with decisions-must be something to do with a high number of applicants and the need to give everyone the chance of equal consideration...Or so they say
Yeah, I was thinking that - but then wouldn't I miss out a lot on student life and find it hard to make friends?
Though i'd save sooooo much money that way!
considering that some poeple live half an HOUR by bus from uni (as in ucl) in uni accomodation, i'd say it's not a big deal. and you'd still be able to have friends over, and stumbling home drunk would be easier as your parents wouldn't mind helping you whereas other students would be like "ew no", and you'd have things cooked for you and oh so much more. there's no reason living ten minutes from uni would stop you having fun.
I live like a 10 min train ride from KCL. Should I use student accomodation or just stay at home?
Actually, I'd use student accomodation... I think that although it would be more expensive, your experience will be much better just because of the added independence, etc. I've already dropped out of one to uni to reapply... everyone I knew who stayed at home at the old uni had to go home earlier, couldn't come out as often, and either said they regretted not going to halls or moved into them half way through the year. Although, tbf, I didn't know anyone whose parents' house was only 10 minutes away.
They seem to be taking ages to make up their minds!!
The are indeed-I have applied on the 14th of October, sat the LNAT on 21st, but have not heard a word yet! But then I could say the same about LSE and QMUL (the latter I dont care about anymore tbh )
