gi.
is there an accommodation package that they send to king's offer holders? like a detailed breakdown of each accommodation site with price/map/facilities and such.

cause i havent received a package or any form of letter from kcl, so for now, im going through the websites, and well its quite a chore and hard to assess and such.

yes, they DO send one to you if you've got an offer. it's called my digs and with the package, you should receive a letter telling you your username and password to log onto the online application system for accomodation. make sense? phone them up or email them, but you will get one, it just takes time.

Yep, I've seen a lot of people who got rejected from UCL this year get into Oxbridge - particulary for Economics courses. It's so annoying though, I'm going to e-mail the admissions people and ask why I got the knockback.

I'm so tempted to ask them for feedback but I'm scared! (I'm so pathetic...) but it's very true with the UCL/Oxbridge issue.

Ah well, I just feel so screwed over because they must've known I was an Oxbridge candidate as I sent in my app so early, and I didn't even get into Cambridge...

How pants!

I still haven't had decision from Kings for the English lang lit course, do you think I should email them to ask when decisions are likely to be made?

Still haven't heard anything for Business Management and sent my application off quite a while ago now. :\

I haven't either!
How late can they decide? Do they have a deadline or something? I'm hoping it comes this week...

No, the answer will only be 'as long as a piece of string'. Put yourself in their shoes - they're working their way through lots of applications as fast as you can, but if they keep on getting interrupted by people asking when you're going to get to them, it's not going to make a good impression and they're not going to be able to give an answer anyway.

However, I hope you get an answer soon!

INGRID000 -I believe the deadline is March 31st, but you can check it on UCAS (the faq bit).

When is Kings College general open day?

When is Kings College general open day?

The general one was around October of last year I believe. The UoL one was later on and now they're in the process of post-offer open days. So, if you have an offer then you'll have the details, if you're applying for next year or want an opportunity to go anyway, then you can arrange a vist or wait for the next rounds of general open days.

Thanks for the advice  il just wait. I really hope they reply soon, I've decided that's where I want to go. I know it's not amazing in the league tables this year but the course is perfect and it's still a world 22 university!

I know what you mean - the course looks fantastic, I really can't wait! Have you visited it? London is amazing, and it's right on the Thames which is great!

I haven't been on an open day either, just visited London randomly and went to look at the uni! The English section isn't the nicest from the front, but if you go round the back of it, the building's beautiful, and it's in a really nice area! I hadn't been to London before either, so it was really good to see it all.

I have no idea what it is like but I'd much rather have the flexibility of choosing when and what I eat.

OK, I applied to Film Studies and got a letter saying that I got an offer for a place on February 23rd, but they still haven't updated my UCAS track :/

What the hell?! What should I do? Just wait until they update track or contact them? Is anyone else in a similar situation?

I think that for the moment you should just wait as it sometimes may take a very long time for UCAS to update and if you got the letter then you defintely got the offer and after all the 23rd Feb. is not that long ago. But if in a few weeks you still did not get an update then you may want to call them.
