Hi,

Got average GCSEs (1x grade 8, 4 x grade 7, 5 x grade 6) from state school. (I mainly contribute this to playing academy football almost full time and competing at an International level in athletics during this period of my life).

Predicted A* (Maths) A (Economics) A (Spanish) at A-Level.

I am going to the John Locke Institute PPE Summer School at Balliol College. (If I can figure how to afford it lol).

Taking a gap year out and sitting an extra A-Level (probably Politics or Philosophy).

Participated in Essay Competitions, read widely etc.

How would you rate my chances of getting into Oxford for PPE?

My expectation is that I still have a minimal chance lol.

Sucks they put some much importance on GCSEs. Reckon Cambridge might be a better option? I've been told GCSEs hold less significance if you've already done and got your A-Level results.

I considered Land Economy. Seemed like a decent option that interested me. This and HSPS.
