Mummy’s money 😝nah but fr my mum runs α business (we are in α low income household so far from rich) and she got to claim our MacBooks and iPad as α business expense and got grant for them otherwise we’d be screwed

That being said refurbished macbooks are always cheaper we got one of them 2 and it works just as well as mine and it’s the same year as mine for like 1/2 the price

This is my first brand new phone (iPhone 11) before I got second/third hand ones off of eBay but it’s lasted so it was α worthwhile investment that being said I don’t pay for this phone but paying outright and getting α sim only deal is probs smarter

Contract. I have an 8 year old refurbished Toshiba ex-business laptop which I bought a year ago for £177.49, works like a treat. Also have a £25 Alcatel 1 16GB smartphone for College and going to get a Xiaomi Redmi Note 9T within a week for £170. I'm happy with everything I have.

I just buy it used on ebay. There are loads of people who get a kick off buying the latest phone or laptop model so they tend to take really good care of their current stuff then sell it a few months before the release date. You can literally save hundreds

Most smart people don't buy the latest phones/Macbooks because they know that older versions eg iPhone 8 is good enough for everyday use. The show-off and the future nobody's got the latest tech/phone and all the branded clothes. Notice how I said most and not all.
