This is coming from India.

And I have a couple of questions, and if anyone wanna drop any recommendations for Grades, Extra-curriculars, PS, etc, you are most welcome to do so.

* Can our grades in Year 10 make a considerable impact on our application resulting in our acceptance or rejection, when our predicted grades remain up to the mark?

* What, in general, qualities does LSE except into an ideal candidate?

Any comments from the alumni or the current students will be be highly valuable.

Grades in year 10 will for sure make a difference, you want to get the highest grade possible in all these exams. Many successful applicants will have all A* in these exams (the top grade in every single subject). Try to study relevant subjects like maths, further maths (extra maths will definitely make you an even stronger candidate), physics, economics etc. You also want to get all top grades for predicted grades. Also definitely read books and beyond the syllabus, do extra courses etc and put these on your PS to show off your love for the subject. You must stand out from other candidates and this is a good way to do so. In the UK most students will study 3 A levels (like Maths Economics Physics for example), so doing 4 (like Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Economics) will make you stand out as you have done an extra subject!
