To be honest I find it a tough one to beat. A few ideas: doing hated things when you’re feeling freshest; setting manageable intermediate points for longer tasks; planning in breaks and rewards to recognise your self discipline; thinking of how good you will feel when the task you need to do is out of the way.

Even with these I still sometimes get to a deadline driven crisis to shake me out of procrastination, the worst way..

Tell yourself that you're only going to do a task for 10 minutes. The only barrier you have is the start of the task so once you go to a quiet place, and actually start, then you find yourself doing it for a long time
