I did used to wear that type of clothes a lot when I was younger, but I just feel comfy in a pair of jeans! But when I go to India in July, I probably would be wearing it everyday! Damn 7 year cycle lol, my mum doesn't want to go with my cousins did that last time and it's her sisters family!

Meh fair enough. I rarely go traditional either.

I just find it funny seeing all the girls all dolled up as if it was some kind of contest, which is why I never bother doing that, I'm strange!

Meh, traditional clothes can be awesome; if I'm running late and something goes wrong with the planned outfit, I'll just through on a thobe/kameez and go about my business.

I get your point about it turning into a bit of a competition; when they look as though they've robbed a small jewellers it does start to ruin the look. However, there's much to be said about an understated salwar kameez and a fresh face (sarees can seem a little fussy).

Yeah, that's what I mean, the it's the whole "look how much gold I have.." attitude I despise! I'll just wear something plain, I'm not that fussed about it, or what others think. I also hate it when some of them have clearly overloaded on the hairspray and the make up to just look "perfect".
