Mate, that's the whole point of Fresher's Week. NO ONE knows anyone else, when you're a fresher you're totally new, and so is everyone else, the various activities throughout the week help you to make friends. You could give it a miss, but by the time lectures get started other people will have already made friends and formed groups because they actually socialised instead of staying at home and playing Halo...your call.

B: yo! yeah supposedly we have to enrol tomorrow!
A: woah, i had no idea! i deleted the email they sent. thanks
