If I'm going home on the District I prefer to go to Stepney simply because it saves me a stop on the tube. I like to take the District in the warmer months as it's cooler. I usually end up getting off early and walking the rest of the way though; the amount of times I've negotiated the crowds outside the tower of London.

On a particularly nice day I walked from QMUL to London Bridge, it's enough after you pass the market.

Once walked from Trafalgar Square to QMUL. Took a very long time, but it was a good walk, along the river, over Tower Bridge, through the City

Mile end is the same for me! Though it does get crowded there as people switch from central line damn them!

Woah, that made me feel even more of a lazy sod, but then again I don't walk through a nice area.
is BL the oldest med school in the uk? or have i got it wrong? :colondollar:

I did a walk to Big Ben once, that was nice as it was along the river and the weather was lovely. And another time I walked the 25 bus route [and beat it there!]

I'm guessing you mean the route toward Oxford Circus as opposed to Ilford :p:

I don't doubt that you beat it btw, driving through the City is an excruciatingly slow affair....

My borough has some nice enough things, but where I live isn't particularly nice. Well, my road and the next few in each direction are okay but after that things get a little horrid.:frown:

The one advantage about where I live is that there are a large number of green spaces (bearing in mind I do technically live in Inner London).:yep:

We do have a nice enough Church actually, which my school dragged us to at every available oppurtunity.

There is a nice temple, well it should be nice as they spent £20 million or so on it, but it's still in a **** location though.

Lol, I'd hope it would be nice at that cost! We have a pretty nice cemetary, with catacombs of a sort too. I do wonder how they managed it though seeing as there's a subteranean river not so far away. It definitely skirts along the church.:s-smilie:

It flooded a couple of years back, though I didn't realise it was the river that caused it until reading up after.:yep:
Eep, I was just paid the strangest compliment:

"Those beautiful Somalianesque little curls are just too adorable for words."
