Mr. Mortell
Did you guys know that if you have a 16-25 railcard, you can apply the discount to your Oyster card and have the maximum daily payment for zones 1 - 2 capped at £3.35 - and the other zones are capped too but I can remember all the seperate prices...look it up on the tfl website!

Thank you Natwest!

I did hear it, but I didn't know how to get it done. DO you have to go to a station ticket office?
Yay! Student finance should have 'dealt with me' by the end of next week.:awesome:

That said, I suppose he wasn't very clear in what he meant by dealt with me.:frown:

Same here, even though I don't enrol until the 25th, so it'll probably be more like that, still waiting on the means tested part of my loan mind, bloody useless bastards.

I'm not entirely sure, I know travel before 9am...and sometimes travel between 5 and 7....but mine normally just caps at £3.35...even if you do one of your journeys before nine, finishing the others after makes it "off peak"...but it is a bit tempremental...and you need to make sure you have more money on your oyster card at times and the gates don't aknowledge the discount when they're checking for a minimum amount required to travel.

Yeah I remember last time I was in London (July for a NIN gig) I travelled during all sorts of times including like rush hour around 5.30pm and never got charged anything different, which is what made me wonder what they classed as peak.

Doesn't affect me greatly as theres no chance in hell of me being awake before 9am unless I have an early class or lecture
Some **** stole my tips at work today.

That's low. Steal everyone elses tomorrow and tell them they'll get them back once the dick who stole yours owns up
which is cheaper? getting 30% off with a student oyster or the £3.35 cap?

Well I never by the weekly/monthly cards so I wouldn't know. The £3.35 cap works out well because I never know how much travel I'll be doing. Some weeks I travel a lot and others none...
Is it just me or do PFC put something in their chicken burgers that makes them totally addictive? :coma:
You mean like whatever it is that goes into pringles? :p:

I can't wait to be back at uni :frown:

sorry to hijack this post, but Im thinking of applying to QMUL 2010 and just have a few questions (as i cant attend the open day)
1) if anybody does biomedical science here, what is it like? how many hours a week to you typically have in lectures and practicals
2)whats the SU like? do you have many good artists there?
3)how expensive is it really in london? i.e for transport and drinks etc.
4)how hard is it to find accomodation after your first year?
thanks!
