It's kind of strange, now that I'm actually physically present on Mile End campus, I hardly get any hints of Ms De Milo. Anyways, nice to know you all: Democracy, Fleur, SuperSam, are out there; even though I have no clue as to your physical appearances. But the thought of you all, keeps me safe while jogging at night PS: my offer for a free lunch or snacks for you all still stands. I wish you just try to honor it

I should either be doing my literature review or getting started on the mountain of reading I'm supposed to do for my IR seminar on Thursday, idk, catching up on Peep Show seems a better option.

I stayed in to do my lit review last night and managed a mighty two paragraphs, it's so god damned boring, the IR reading is pretty cool though.

Apparently you can apply for a parking permit at QM? I spoke to someone in 3rd year and they said this was only for people living on campus. I then checked the site and it didnt mention anything about where you live. Is it possible to then get a parking permit?

I'm not so sure.
After a quick search I found:
QMUL Student and Campus Services
•Parking on College sites is available for staff members only with a restriction on visitors' and contractors' parking. •Temporary permits are available for visitors and contractors by prior arrangement.
Please note: there are no parking facilities available to students living on any Queen Mary residences. However as a resident you can apply for a local authority parking permit to park in the streets nearby.
Who qualifies for residents’ parking permits? You can apply for a residents’ parking permit if:
•Your main or only home is within the London Borough of Tower Hamlets •You keep and use a vehicle of the type shown in the declaration on the application form •You do not live in a car free development
I imagine there's a way round it, but I've yet to find it!
Thanks for all of that. OK in the worst case scenario how much would you pay? Where is the nearest parking spaces and how much do they charge? Do you know?

Well, the cheapest I've found is that place that used to be Renault dealership; £2 per hour as opposed to the ~£3.40 on Bancroft road, and on the way to Whitechapel.
That said, I don't make a habit of driving in unless I'm going to be on campus late. It's more hassle than it's worth, especially when rush hour strikes and it takes me a good half hour to get from the end of Tower Bridge to Aldgate.
I guess if you had a look on Gumtree you could see if anyone was renting their drive out?
