And oooh, have you been to Proud? Go to Smash and Grab!
Yes!
I've been to Proud like each weekend since I've been here, it's pretty cool with the stalls and stable theming, the first night we went they had all this weird fancy dress stuff aswell which was a laugh when totally smashed. I think I've actually been to Proud more than I've been to Drapers
I wanna check out Matter sometime aswell, a couple of my flatmates (some of the decent ones) went during freshers and said it was pretty awesome.

The fancy dress was smash and grab lol. It's so cool. It's on Thursdays you can try on anything. I used to work on Camden market too.
I've only been Drapers like twice, it's pretty dire and generic. I prefer a scene.
I've been to matter once, it's such a trek to go to and pretty soulless, rather go Fabric. It's cool though, don't get me wrong, I saw Mark Ronson, Mystery Jets and Lethal Bizzle at the Diesel birthday party there. Hahahaahaahah.

Makes sense because the first time we went to Proud was in freshers and was a weekday, so it must have been a Thursday, it was probably the best night I've had at Proud actually and yes Drapers is appalling I went there three times during Freshers, once for some comedy thing, and havn't been since, I'd much rather go to The New Globe if I wanted cheap drinks. I never thought I'd say it but being in Drapers makes me long for the clubs in my home town and thats saying something!
I thought Matter would be pretty soulless aswell considering where it is but my flatmates raved about, I'll have to check it out for myself

What type of scene do you like? There's so much happening here!

Mainly trance but I'm not really picky I'll go anywhere so long as theres a good atmosphere and they play decent tunes, growing up in TQ where all the clubs play is pop music kinda makes you immune to even the worst of music I also like a bit of Dubstep, we went to club somewhere (god knows where it was) called Plastic People which was pretty cool if really really seedy.
I'm actually much more of a rocker than a clubber though, it's just that freshers and most the student events don't really cater for rock music fans, so I have to indulge my clubbing side more than my rock music side.

It's near Old Street I think.
Go to Egg in King's X for grimy, filthy, dirty, druggy Dubstep. And keep up with Trailer Trash for raves and **** in odd places.
Edit: Oh and if you like rock, there's a bar called Decadence somewhere in Soho which is v. rock and that sort of scene.

Thanks for the heads up
I heard about the Electric Ballroom in Camden aswell which is meant to be quite rocky (QOTSA/NIN/Muse/LP that kinda stuff) and sounds right down my alley. Now it's just a case of getting someone to go, as like all the people I've met so far are proper ravers rather than rockers.
Matter's in the O2 btw Icapturethecastle, they seem to get good gigs there though, like the guys Bubbles said and my flatmates went to see Faithless there.
I lolled and thought of you just now. Youl would like my lecturer:
"So... really Communism is just the starting point for Capitalism; it provides the education and industry needed. Communism will never follow Capitalism" Pow.

Anyone in library btw?
No, cause socialism will follow capitalism...which will then be followed by communism

****. I need to finish it off tonight, I've done like 400 words so far but I just can't be arsed with it tbh, the IR essay is sooo much more interesting.
I'll probably get it done at like 2am this morning or something stupid.
