Ah, French is a beautiful language, though I suppose that doesn't change the modules being boring.

The majority of the course is taught in English, so I don't even get much opportunity to appreciate the beauty of the language... :frown:

I have to find a Catalan speaking person and interview them. And record the interview.

I have no Catalan speaking friends. And no recording equipment.

There are some Catalan speakers in my Linguistics class. Might be a bit weird asking them seeing as we aren't friends but I think they might like to because they speak it to each other when we do groupwork :mad:

So yeah if you can't find anyone else I could always ask them?

The lecturer (fairly young woman, not sure what her name is) literally just sat on her desk and read from a piece of paper (which had also been given to us for a handout) for the entire lecture. On the rare occasion that she said something that wasn't already on the handout, it was impossible to keep up so you couldn't note it down :thumbsdown:

The worst thing is I'm sure what she was talking about was actually quite interesting, US attitudes post-WWII and all that, but the way she delivered it was just awful.
