How was it? Did you get to see her in the end?

There's something quite strange about getting pissed in a church :mmm:

It went okay thank ****. She was really understanding and told me to come see her again the first week back and give her an update on how I'm feeling. She also said that if I continue to miss stuff I will actually be de-registered so I'm going to get my head down next term and do lots of work :awesome:

Lies. They always tell you that ****, never do though. One of my lecturers last week made this big point of "Riiiiight this girl is now DEREGISTERED", she was back next week... it's just a scare tactic, it ***** them up as much as it would **** you up if they de registered you.

Who's your tutor/advisor/whatever btw?

I don't know, I had an IR lecture a few weeks ago where the lecturer (can't remember her name) sat on the desk at the front and read off the handout she'd given us for an entire hour. I had my pen ready and I was waiting for her to say something that wasn't on the sheet so I could write it down, but the moment never came

Oh I remember this vaguely. I think she does the same thing with the Genocide lecture in term 2. :woo:

Haha nearly everyone I know thinks this, actually we were talking about it while smashed last night. I would have a comment on her but I've never actually been to one of her lectures :erm:

There's usually someone looking for a flatmate; there's a board in the Queens building somewhere, wouldn't harm to look eh?

Why on Earth are you staying up so late? Don't! Just don't, you know it's stupid.

Nuff.

I know what you mean about friends on campus, I made hardly any friends really last year because I was off campus, but I was lucky because all my old friends were still around, so my social life didn't change very much at all when I started uni. But seriously, CLICHE here but joining societies really does introduce you to loads of people. And QM Angels (lol) are alwaysssssssss out. There's loads of societies, and the more you're out the more people you meet. I was in Drapers 2 weeks ago, got an invitation (lol) to join the drinking soc or whatever they're called, telling me about their flat with a jacuzzi... I dunno tbh I was a bit smashed. Not my point. Hm, I dunno what to suggest really, people are *****. But societies are great - I have quite a few friends through Music soc, and I know other socs are really active.

You should join the Pol soc you'll meet loads of people through that, and trust me they go out alot. It's mostly second yrs (my class) in it, but we're pretty friendly. I would go out with them alot more but I cba, Mile end is too much effort for me on a fri night.

But srsly, there's SO MANY people to meet outside of your course and house.

I'm moving into that flat next month :yep:

You know, I'm sure I've been reduced to a live-in nanny...nope, if that were the case I'd get paid for it. **sigh**

Yup, and most of the Second Semester issues are current affairs stuff like globalisation and the rise of China, so if you follow the news and newspapers it's pretty hard to get anything but a 2.1

Yep, though I hate all this globalisation and environmentalism stuff; really boring.
