Hi, I've seen you around a bit I think. Yeah, it's good, I like the uni and the facilities, the local area isn't that bad either. I'm happyish

Oh la la, I've seen loads of people I used to talk to of Facebook before we got here aha. I met up wth two of them (by meet up I mean forcing them to come to my halls) so far and they were brilliant nights!

But where abouts do you think? We've chatted on here before a fair bit as I remember! But you should come say hello next time, or wave, or poke, or eat.

Do I head back to QMUL for Arabic, or stay at home and eat pringles? I should be revising.
PRINGLES ARE THE DEVIL

So stay and eat them

LOL I'm heading over there right now, I'll keep an eye out for it

I was there at 2ish, but they took it down! Gits! I guess I should have put it in a less obvious place. :frown: It's still up in the physics building though.

Yeah, so far two of my neighbours and my own flatmate, were punched up at a club (but that's London for you!), and then my neighbour was attacked and mugged by a group on the CANAL! After the fireworks on halloween, awful stuff.

But for myself, I've had no problems whatsoever, apart from one incident in a Perfect Fried Chicken place. Has anyone caught the 25 bus and actually counted how many freaking PFC's there are!?

I'm off to William Hill, it's a shame that I live 10 seconds away from it, I'm addicted to roulette!

Woah, I've lived in east London for nearly 21 years and nothing has ever happened to me!

Well as food is involved I'd stay at home! :p:

I've never felt unsafe in East London before, but that's generally because I run from QMUL to the tube. Though, I have seen some not so nice things, like kids throwing rocks off of the living bridge, and a guy getting slapped about. No, I wasn't just watching, I broke it up (with a few other people). That said, he was obviously a bit stupid to get out of his car and confront some drunks '*****'.

I've always lived here, and apart from a few chav vs emo battles when I was about 14 (I was neither, and still ended up getting dragged into them) I've nevr had any bother.

Oh, except for the time some coked up underager threatened to slit my throat in the pub because I looked at him

I reckon if you've got your wits about you, you're less likely to get any bother than if you're new to somewhere. I think the animals can sniff new people out =/

Yeah, but I think you would get that anywhere, my ex who lives in Harlow said the same things happen there too. And good on you for breaking it up, some people would just stare and walk on by, but I guess everyone is scared about being attacked nowadays, tbh you got to take life as it comes.

Yeah, I agree if you're well aware of your surroundings you should be fine. I did have the odd **** pulling my hair and crap like that, but nothing to "scar" me for life. And I always have my umbrella for protection!
Does anyone else on the QMUL Facebook network find it weird that theyve changed the network name to "Queen Mary University of London"?

It looks weird on my profile :s-smilie:

I know I tried to look for it but I couldn't see it.

Btw, I'm sure you'll agree Happiness is: When your microbiology labs end 1 and a half hours early

Oh yeah definitely. If anything it should be Queen Mary and Westfield College , but that might be a bit long...

Lol, yeah. All my labs now seem to end at 3:30, but that's protein assays/electrophoresis practicals for ya!

QMUL did the job just fine though :p:

QMWUL would just look weird though.

Tbh today's practical was just an excersize in using pipettes, they'd already prepared the dilution series and everything for us, all we had to do was incubate some stuff and the prepare some agar plates with the bacteria. Spent most of it chatting with my lab partner

That's not fair. :frown: We have to do it ourselves, it was the same last year. I hated organic chemistry practicals I used to finish at 6 because they went wrong at some point during the experiment.

Yay. That said, you've only seen me when I'm calm; I'm prone to having a little rage and rampage every now and again. Y'know, I've just realised, you've never seen me shaved.

I was screaming like a twit in the library square on Tuesday, because it was so cold outside, my friends moved away from me as if I was a tag-a-long. Mean people mean people..
