You are required to write an essay that demonstrates your understanding of the role and responsibilities of the midwife, and the role of the Nursing and Midwifery Council, during the antenatal period.

Your essay must include the following in relation to the antenatal period:
• Analyse the changes that may impact on a pregnancy and consequently the role of the midwife, for example, Pre-eclampsia, breech, lifestyle or stressful events.
• Using two of the examples above, discuss the process of risk assessment and its importance in protecting pregnant women.
• Discuss the impact of the midwife in meeting the physical, social and psychological needs of a woman and her family.
• Discuss the role that the Nursing and Midwifery Council performs in relation to the role of the midwife.
• Analyse the implications of The Code in relation to antenatal care.
• Discuss the role of the supervisor of midwives in supporting maternity services.

The role of the supervisor of midwives has recently been separated from regulation. When you research this area for your assignment, you will need to discuss the changes in the role of the supervisor over time and why the role has changed. You should also include how supervision still has a part to play in the role in supporting midwives to carry out their duties in the antenatal period.GUIDANCE

The essay should be written in paragraphs which flow; it is therefore recommended that you plan your essay before you start to write it.

You must attempt to include some conclusions and recommendations towards the end of your essay.

Relevant theory must be referenced where appropriate, and a references list and bibliography provided.

The essay should be a maximum of 2,000 words in length.

As Emily_B said you posted the guidance on this and not explained really what you asking here ...!!!

breech of a baby is lifesaving emergency csections as baby is in wrong position in mum's womb
We can give you all your answers as its upto yourself to do this but we can do our best to give you advise on things and you can then sort it from there.

Your essay is 2000 words maximum you said so you need to write some information on what you wrote.

As Emily is a adult nurse she'll give you whatever guidance she can on this, and also I'm dual adult nurse and midwife and will also give you guidance on this but we ain't writing your essay as how will you cope eventually when you go onto university to study for 3 years as student midwife if you can't do this now as it's lot harder at university than online courses or whatever you are doing currently.
You can perhaps drop a message to ( Tracey_W as she is qualified midwife and see if she can help you more on this but will be upto individual if they do )..!!!

Hiya

What is the issue you having here.
You doing a essay for exams or during term assessment and you have to write something on what you said within maximum of 2000 words, it is achievable but you need to get the point you wanting to write specifically.

PM message me if possible on questions you want answering on and I see what I can do. As a registered midwife of 2 years almost.
