Design yourself a workout routine that focuses on the legs, walknig/running/jogging, squats lunges wall sits and so on..Increase your calorie intake slightly. Start off by doing them unweighted and when that gets easier add resistance bands or some form of weights to your routines.

You can walk up and down the stairs until you can't do another step. Repeat the day after next.
