Hi
Me and my partner both recieve Pip and ESA and both in support group.
I was thinking a distant open degree part time would be good for me. But I’m worried it will affect both mine and partner benefits
I only need help with tuition fee from student finance but if read student finance take into account a maintence loans as income which could reduce both mine and partner ESA.
What I don’t want to happen is by doing this part time degree and applying for tuition fee effect our monthly income. It’s really confusing I’m just worried we will be financially worse off if decide to do this part time course.
It says the maintence loan is counted wether you ‘use’ it or not I’m just not sure how it will effect us and that is putting me off applying

Hi there, I advise you to contact the DWP to check if your benefits will be affected.
Thanks, Isaac
