Can you get your placement in your home town (even if your uni is 2-4 hours away)?

It entirely depends on your university. Placements are not a s easy as just going somewhere, usually they need someone who is happy to be a mentor and assess your progress, as well as having the time to take on a student. I would get in contact with the people who arrange the placements for your course and ask them- Good luck!

our uni doesn’t send people further than an hour and a half away, but that’s a last resort if they can’t find anywhere else
