Grants/bursaries if you have savings?Watch
I wanted to know whether you could still apply for grants an bursaries if you have savings (enough to cover costs at uni)?
Or even for SFE?
It certainly doesn't count as income. In any case it doesn't matter - you're assessed by your parents income, not your own. All full-time students are assessed as having an income of 0 of their own for grant and loan purposes. It shouldn't affect your filing at all.
Do bursaries count as income UK......
Non-taxable income includes bursaries, grants and scholarships, other state benefits such as Child Tax Credits or Disability Living Allowance, plus interest from ISA savings accounts. And, perhaps most importantly, Student Loans do not count as taxable income in the UK.
