recovering permanently deleted files from google drive

Hello. I accidently permanently deleted some files from Google Drive(ie took them out of trash) so I was wondering if there was any way to recover them.
Most likely they're totally gone. If this were your own device, then maybe there would be scope to do some file recovery. But if you've permanently deleted them from a cloud provider then this isn't an option. So if you didn't have another copy then I'm afraid they're gone.

It's unlikely but worth asking, were these files only stored in your Google Drive account? Did you use the desktop app for example to keep a local copy on your computer?

Reminder to always back up important files. And as you've seen here, storing files in the cloud is not a backup

I thought I downloaded them but turned out I hadn't :/. I asked google drive customer support but it only asked for my email address and name.

Did you submit a request through this address: https://support.google.com/drive/contact/file_recovery

Looks like Google can, for a limited time, attempt to recover files deleted from the trash. No guarantees they'll be able to though. Submit a request and see what happens, if it was a recently deleted file you might get lucky
