I am thinking about applying to universities like Bristol, Edinburgh and Exeter for Marketing MSC
GCSE - 6B's and 4C's
BTEC's - Diploma in Business D*D* and certificate in IT D*
(Actually I started of with A levels but ended up failing them then did BTEC's instead and spent 3 years in sixth form and my BTEC's are equivalent to 2 A levels and 1 AS level)
Degree - BA (Hons) Business Management at University of Winchester.
I got a third in the first year (doesn't count towards overall degree).
I managed to pull my socks up this year and got 67% a 2:1.

Taking all this into account will it be realistic to even think about such universities or should I think of staying lower down the league table.

I am kinda confident if I keep working the same way I can get a 2:1 overall.

Hi Jeana,

I think there is no harm in applying for universities which are seen as higher up in the league. You never know they might seem something in your application that they feel the university is a good fit for you. I manged with just scoring below a 2.1 to get into my university of choice even though they tend to want 2.1 for the course.

However, I would also recommend applying for a couple of back up universities so that you have a few options to choose from.

Best of luck with your applications.

Best,
Tam
