I’ve completed my first year at uni, can I just go and do a lower level apprenticeship? Is it allowed for funding reasons etc?

hey! I applied for a bunch of apprenticeships in the past year, both higher level and degree level. many other candidates had said that they had done their first year at uni and dropped out. they definitely do allow applications from you, I guess you'd just get asked your reasonings.
hope that helped!

Why do you not want to continue with your degree?

No grad jobs out there… or they’re ridiculously competitive and impossible to get:/

You can still do an apprenticeship if you started but haven't finished uni. Pretty sure we had a candidate like that at one of the interviews I went to.

Exactly.
That's what I was about to say.
