I met this guy Andre about 6 years ago, I really liked him but at the time I was very shy and didn't act on it. We lost contact and then I got into a relationship which lasted about 4 1/2 years. Andre and I started speaking again recently, we went out yesterday. We spoke for hours over drinks, one minute he'd refer to me as a friend and the next he kept finding ways to compliment me.
There was a different energy, we flirted and laughed alot. I also wasn't shy at all which was a relief. Afterwards he asked if I wanted I go to his place for a while to chill. I already said I wasn't planning for anything to go down, but the entire time I wanted to kiss him.
Whenever I tried to go he would say we should get food or he'll make me breakfast in the morning, but I had to . I let him know about wanting to kiss him and he replied with a smiley emoji and said "we can". I found his response a little bit odd. We both said we enjoyed each others company and there's been nothing since. I'm used to conversations carrying on long after dates that went well.

He did say he thought I was a bit mysterious and when he texts me I don't really say much. I explained I didn't know if he'd be interested in knowing details, he made it clear he does.
So yeah I'm confused about whether he thought this was going to be a casual date that ends with sex or something else. What are your thoughts?
