Hi. I’ve got my fitness test very soon and then it will be my specialist interview for intelligence analyst. I’ve gathered notes on things about me, core values etc, my role but I’m just wanting a rough idea of what I could be asked in my interview. I’ve read I need to know about current affairs(do they all need to involve the raf?) and also aircrafts( do I just need to know names bases etc or do I need to know specific details and be able to spit them out on cue?) I’ve never really been into cars and all that kind of stuff so think I might find it hard to learn this kind of thing.
I didn’t have to do a selection interview because of covid and obviously the interviews at the moment will likely be different to a lot of the threads on here which are from a few years ago. Basically I’m just want to start to prepare for what it could be like and I want to be able to do it as soon as possible after my fitness if there is availability so I’m trying to prep in advance. Thanks in advance.

You'll certainly want to know RAF current affairs (the RAF News website / newspaper is good for that) but also a wider understanding of UK / international current affairs is helpful. I might be stating the obvious here, but you're competing against other applicants so the more you know, the better you'll look.
You may not need to know every aircraft and its home base but you certainly will want to learn as many as you can. Being in contention for the Int cadre, it could well be your job in the future to identify unfriendly nation's airpower (depending on what branch of TG11 you go down). Therefore, the more you know at this stage, the better you'll look - not just in the interview but in training too.
