Wondering if anyone will help me get an insight into my course starting in September - Medical Sciences at Bournemouth Uni. Would love to get a little read up on books for the given units or useful sights to read/use or even through your own notes or revision

You are posting in the medicine thread, for those who want to/are studying medicine. You probably need this thread moving to somewhere where there may be Medical Science students
becausethenight can you help, please?

Hi morgsdaborgs,

I am Tia, a final year BA (Hos) Communication and Media student at Bournemouth University. When you join or just before you will be given a reading list of books they recommend. If you wish to give these a read it is likely they will be available in the library to borrow or as an e-book online. You also have a sort of settle in period of one or two weeks when you arrive so you'll have time to look through them then and throughout the year. It is also likely you'll get them as reading each week for the lectures and seminars so I wouldn't worry too much about reading them all before joining. I would just make sure you know what units you will be studying and understand what they are about, if there's anything you have no clue about then you could do a little research, however everyone will be taught as if they are beginners with little knowledge so first year is focused on getting everyone to the same understanding level.

Hope this has helped a bit, Tia
