Work experience for Aeronautical engineering?

Basically I really wanna get to imperial to study aeronautical engineering, and i'm willing to work my ass off for the straight A's, but i have really poor GCSE grades.

So i was thinking of getting some work experience to aid my application, but had no clue where to start...?
Can you tell me where i can find relative experience?
And should i read on the subject a bit?

I'd love to hear from other Aero engineers at imperial.

ooh and how important are GCSE's with imperial btw?

Thanks

Ring up companies, anything at all connected with engineering, for example BAE, etc. But if you can't find anything connected then try to get some work experience, it doesn't really matter what or where.

I think you're slightly confused...
I'm not in uni yet lol
yep, you could do some basic reading, might help in the interview.
make sure you're maths is sharp as you will be given some maths/physics problems to solve in the interview
