Hi, My name is David. I have coming interviews for PhD positions at Uppsala, Stockholm, Gothenburg and Lund universities in Sweden. I feel confident I might end receiving a couple of offers from those 4 options, but if that ends being the case, I'm not sure which could be the best choice, let me elaborate.

In terms of salary, the 4 are pretty much the same, as far as I know, their departments are good, I don't know much about the cities. Do any of you have some knowledge of those economic history departments, actually? How you would rank them in terms of strength, I think Lund might be the best, followed by Gothenburg and Uppsala and Stockholm in the last place.

Any information or guidance you can provide would help me decide if indeed I get an offer.

Thaks,
David.

Compare the costs of each university, and go for the one you can afford.
