Hi All!

I am going to be moving to the UK to study MSc in October 2021. I am looking for a decent accommodation in Central London, preferably close to Imperial College London's South Kensington Campus.

My budget is not more than £700/month, and the accommodation could be any kind, eg. private housing, apartment, hall etc. This is my first time moving to the UK to study, so your help will be much appreciated. Any ideas?

Oh Okay, that's good to know. Now as you said, Central London in general is expensive, therefore for the budget I have put do you think I might get ripped off, scammed etc? For example the apartment might be mouldy, poor maintenance etc.

You should always be wary of scams and shoddy upkeep of the property, so before signing any lease agreements check the property for mould etc.

Wow, that's what £650 gets you in London? I've seen prison cells with more charm and space than that.

I see that it says that the bathroom is shared as well.

I wonder whether someone has converted part of their house by adding a kitchenette to make it look like a 'studio'.

By the way, in the UK, what is defined as a studio? Where I live studios include everything, in addition to a private bathroom. Some of the ones that I found in the website above that are called studios don't have a private bathroom.

Wait, so for £650 I should be expecting more? Also, he provided property that is very close to South Kensington, so it will be more expensive I guess
