i have been given my transition work for sixth form and I was wondering shall I just do it now and get it out of the way or do it once i have my gcse results??

if its not loads, definitely do it now. By results day you'll be in full summer mode and doing summer work will be the last thing you want to do. Definitely do a couple of the subjects your sure your going to do!

Do it now while still in lockdown so you can enjoy the rest of the summer when set free
